Briefs Vs. Plans

From Strategy to Execution

Understanding the difference between a Brief and a Plan is key to a smooth workflow. In FynchAI, these documents represent the bridge between your initial idea and the final marketing result.

The Difference at a Glance

  • The Brief (Your Strategic Input):

    • Goal: To define the "Why" and "Who."

    • Content: A Brief captures your objectives, target audience, key messaging, and any specific constraints or requirements. It is the raw material that your agent uses to understand your vision.

  • The Plan (Your Tactical Roadmap):

    • Goal: To define the "How" and "When."

    • Content: A Plan is the structured output that your agent (or you) generate based on your Brief. It includes a phase-by-phase roadmap, specific tactical recommendations (e.g., email sequences, social media cadences), and a timeline for execution.

The FynchAI Success Workflow

To get the most out of the platform, we recommend following the same proven process used by professional marketing agencies. This "Strategy-First" approach ensures that every task completed is driving toward a real business result.

  1. Strategy & Research: Establish your foundation by completing your Business Overview and Brand Guidelines. This gives your agent the context needed to speak your language.

  2. The Brief: You provide the specific spark for a new initiative. You tell the agent what you want to achieve, and together you refine the goals in a Brief.

  3. The Marketing Plan: Your agent translates that Brief into a comprehensive Marketing Plan. This is where strategy turns into a tangible roadmap that you can review and approve.

  4. Projects & Tasks: Once the plan is approved, it is converted into a Project. This project is then broken down into individual Tasks (the specific actions, like drafting a post or auditing a page) that move the project to completion.

  5. Execution: Your agent completes the tasks, providing you with the final marketing assets ready for use.

Why We Recommend This Flow

This structured progression creates a "golden thread" of consistency. By starting with strategy and a formal Brief, you ensure that the final content your agent generates isn't just "good copy", it’s strategically aligned content that speaks to the right audience with the right message.

Following this flow eliminates guesswork, reduces revisions, and ensures your marketing efforts are cohesive rather than scattered. It allows your agent to be a proactive partner rather than just a reactive tool.

Note: Briefs and Plans are Optional. Your agent typically generates these automatically to keep your marketing initiatives organized. However, if you already have a clear outcome in mind, you can skip these steps and jump straight into execution with your agent.
